Angus Council and
Angus Sports Council have developed an exciting new accreditation
scheme, to allow the public to recognise safe, effective and
child-friendly club environments.
The scheme takes
into account the recent changes in council letting conditions and new
child protection legislation, giving the club the support necessary to
take up best practice.
Therefore if you
are a club in Angus and you join the scheme, you will be actively
working towards conforming to the new changes.
The ACE
award has three stages to allow the smaller clubs of Angus to work up
through the levels with the aim of achieving the highest standard.
Each award has its own benefits such as free places on courses and
raising the profile of your club in the local community.
The process is
very simple with support and resources being made available throughout
from your club development officer and the sports services division.
If your club has already gained a National Governing Body
Accreditation, then the appropriate level of ACE Award will be
presented.
The scheme will be
launched in April, so keep an eye open for those clubs with an award!
